Malnutrition
Having a poor diet would lead to low levels of several nutrients and vitamins, such as B12 and folic acid. Those substances are necessary for your body to produce white blood cells. When you do not get sufficient nutrients, your body will not have enough energy and components to form blood cells, thus leading to leukopenia. Thus, it is important to add foods and drinks with those nutrients on a regular basis. You can find folate in many fruits and veggies such as oranges, kiwis, beans, or spinach. Vitamin B12 can be found in beef liver, shellfish, fish, cereals, and some dairy products. [10]
