HPV Infection – Diagnosis and Treatment

Colposcopy

A colposcopy is a diagnostic test can be used to examine the inside of the cervix, vulva, or vagina for signs of an HPV infection. During this process, the doctor will take a close-up look with the help of a colposcope, magnifying instrument. He or she can detect abnormal cells in these areas to make an initial diagnosis. You would feel a bit uncomfortable, but taking naproxen or ibuprofen in advance would help alleviate the pain. [4]
