Restrict Tick Habitats
Ticks can be found in dense and wooded areas with overgrown trees, meadows, or places with decaying leaves. If possible, try to clean your property regularly to prevent them from growing. When walking your dogs in tick habitats, always stay on the trail and make sure they remain with you. Once you come home, make sure to check for signs of tick bites immediately to prevent an infection. [10]
