ADHD Diagnosis in Adults
Those adults who meet the criteria for a diagnosis of ADHD would have apparent behaviors. This would be due to the challenges of work commitments, adult relationships, or other stressors, such as environmental changes or financial issues. If you get a diagnosis for this condition as an adult, it is likely that you have had the disease for a long time but were never diagnosed formally. In addition, it seems that you are less likely to grow out of ADHD. To be diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, a person has to show at least 5 criteria in 2 different settings (such as at the workplace and at home). [6]
