Stage 4 – Very Severe Emphysema
This is the last stage of emphysema. A breathing test would demonstrate extremely severe limited airflows in your respiratory system. Your quality of life would be significantly impaired with many signs, ranging from serious to fatal. The risks of respiratory failure would be higher in grade 4 emphysema and might result in further complications with other parts of the body.
