Common Triggers of Restless Leg Syndrome

Varicose Veins

In some cases, restless legs syndrome can be caused by poor blood flow in your legs. More specifically, weak veins that become uncomfortable and distend can be a major risk factor. These varicose veins are usually blue in color and enlarged. This would be a clear symptom of venous insufficiency. Treating varicose veins has been shown to be effective in improving certain signs of restless legs syndrome. This includes the use of medications and scleropathy.[3]
