Perimenopause
Perimenopause is the period before a woman enters menopause and stops having a menstrual cycle. The body tends to sweat excessively during this time mainly due to changing levels of the hormone. The shifts in levels of estrogen especially have a direct effect on the temperature of the body. Sweating is a way of cooling the body. However, it makes some people more susceptible to flushed skin. Medications
If you are taking certain medications or drugs, they would be the cause of excessive sweating. Diaphoretics is a group of medications that may trigger this symptom in many people as a side effect. In fact, many drugs may cause sweating even when we do not often think about it. The list may include pain medications, cardiovascular and blood pressure drugs, hormonal treatments, chemotherapy, antibiotics, and other drugs that affect the endocrine system. Consult your doctor to find the culprit and make proper changes. [7]
