2Being Overweight is Not The Same as Being Obese
People also get it wrong when it comes to identifying an overweight or obese person. Although both words are used to describe the weight that has become unhealthy, there is still a little difference, and this difference is defined by the body mass index (BMI). When a person’s body mass index is between 25 and 29.9, such a person is said to be overweight, but when a person has a body mass index that is 30 or higher, such a person is said to be obese.[2]
