Causes of Frozen Shoulder
A frozen shoulder can be triggered by many factors. You might be vulnerable to joint inflammation when you experience a weakened immune system, diabetes, or a hormonal imbalance. An extended period of inactivity due to surgery, illness, or injury would also make you more susceptible to adhesions and inflammation, thus increasing the risks of frozen shoulder pain. In some severe cases, scar tissue might form and severely limit your range of motion. It typically takes anywhere from 2 to 9 months for the condition to develop. [3]
