Swelling
Pink eye or conjunctivitis when there is an inflammation of the conjunctiva; this may cause noticeable swelling in the eyes. Inflammation of the conjunctiva does not always cause visible swelling; sometimes the swelling is only felt by the sufferer, and it gives the same feeling as having something stuck in the eyes. Although it is a pretty common sign, it doesn’t occur in all cases of pink eye, and it is mostly not visible to other people. It is often one of the first symptoms that will be experienced when someone has conjunctivitis; this is why it is good to be self-aware.[3]
