Excess Mucus
One of the most common symptoms of post nasal drip is probably excess mucus. Due to certain causes, the noses will produce excess mucus, which can build up and drip down the throat. A simple runny nose can happen when this amount comes out of your noses. If the mucus is particularly thick, you can feel very uncomfortable when swallowing or breathing. Even more, the air full of pollutants, pollens, and germs would enter the body when you breathe and get trapped by the mucus.
