Red Eyes
Red eyes may be a sign of different eye diseases, for example, uveitis, blepharitis, conjunctivitis or a serious allergy. However, redness of the eyes could also mean that your eye is just irritated. Eye irritants causing the eye to get inflamed or swell could be culprits to red eyes. When the small blood vessels of the eye are irritated, it gives the cornea (the white portion of the eye) an outward appearance of pink or red. A doctor’s attention should be called should red eyes persist for a long period.
