Original Medicare When Moving to Another State
You can use Original Medicare in any part of the U.S, which includes all states and some territories, such as Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa. No matter where you are living in the U.S., you may get benefits from Medicare Parts A and B. It means that basic outpatient and inpatient services can be covered.
If you move to another state, the coverage for Original Medicare does not change. But keep in mind that your selected healthcare provider after moving must participate in the Medicare program.
