Acne is a common skin issue in which the skin pores are blocked by dead skin cells, bacteria, hair, and sebum. This may lead to pimples, nodules, whiteheads, and blackheads. Almost everyone experiences acne at some point during their lives. It is estimated that up to 80 percent of the general population between 11 and 30 years old have at least a mild type of acne. Most cases are associated with hormonal changes. Due to the effects of acne on the skin, shaving can be more challenging.
