Tea Tree Oil
Another effective way to treat blackheads is to apply tea tree oil, which contains many antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It is advisable to purchase a lotion or gel with 5 percent of tea tree oil. They can be found in many pharmacies or health stores. Otherwise, you can make your own solution at home. Mix 2 to 3 drops of undiluted tea tree oil in 15 milliliters or 1 tablespoon of carrier oil like almond or avocado oil. After that, rub the solution directly on the blackheads with a cotton swab. Let it absorb into the skin. Apply two times on a daily basis until the spots disappear. If your skin is sensitive, this treatment might trigger redness, burning, or itching. [2]
