We all take medications to help combat certain complications we might be having. But it is terrifying to know the dangerous side effects accompany some prescribed and non-prescribed medications in the process of healing. Drugs that are used to treat illnesses such as pains, allergies, acne, obesity, epilepsy, hypertension, nausea, diarrhea, asthma, colds, etc. have dry mouth as a side effect. A person suffering from any of these diseases and experiencing dry mouth as a result of the medications given should report back to the hospital for a change of medication, if possible. This is because dry mouth, if not immediately taken care of can result in further complications such as swollen gums, sore tongue, and bad breath. [3]
