Consume Plenty of Fluids

Stay hydrated is important both in the long run and short run. Fluids would help keep mucus in the body thin, thus preventing it from blocking your nasal passages. As a rule of thumb, aim for at least 2 liters of fluids on a daily basis. You should drink more when ill or doing physical activities.
