Sudden Urges
An overactive bladder can also trigger sudden, strong urges to urinate. Keep in mind that this is not similar to waiting too long to go to the toilet. In fact, the urge would become stronger gradually when time goes by. This condition would occur quickly without any warning. It can happen even when you have just urinated several minutes ago. In many situations, people with an overactive bladder might not be able to go to the bathroom in time. This means the urine would involuntarily leak from the bladder and cause urinary incontinence.
