Herpes – Stages, Tests & Diagnosis

Stage 2

This is the progressive period when the herpes simplex virus spreads and penetrates different parts of the body such as mucous membranes or skin. They enter via small breaks or cracks and reproduce. People in this stage would have fluid-filled blisters and red clumps. This indicates that your immune system is working to fight against the virus. A fever would also occur just like in many other forms of infection.
