Five Main Types of Warts

Filiform Warts

Unlike other types of warts, filiform warts are typically narrow and long, around 1 to 2 millimeters. They can have many colors, such as pink, brown, or yellow and do not appear in clusters. Some commonly affected areas include lips and eyelids. That is why filiform warts are also called facial warts. HPV is the main cause of this type. Thus, you can spread them through skin contact, particularly to broken skin areas. Even though they are not cancerous and dangerous, many people find them relatively uncomfortable. In addition to the distinctive appearance, filiform warts might also cause other symptoms, such as irritation, soreness, bleeding, and itching. [3]
