Laser Therapy
Laser therapy uses a high-energy laser to eliminates or destroys overgrown tissue in the prostate gland. It can provide immediate effects and have a low risk of side effects compared to non-laser surgery. This approach is often suggested for those who take blood-thinning drugs, making it impossible to have other procedures. There are two options for laser therapy:
– Enucleative procedure: Eliminate all tissues in the prostate that affect urination and prevent them from regrowing.
– Ablative procedure: Vaporize obstructive tissues in the prostate to increase the flow of urine. It would lead to irritating signs in the urinary tracts after surgery. [6]
