As the name implies, the Goldendoodle is a cross between golden retrievers and poodles. They are knowing for having the best characteristics of both breeds, such as loving, obedient, and loyal. Unlike golden retrievers with long coats that shed easily, goldendoodles are hypoallergenic and almost do not shed. Therefore, they are great for seniors who have allergies and do not want to vacuum or clean on a daily basis. Due to their easy-going temperament and intelligence, it is not hard to train the goldendoodles. They enjoy physical activities though, particularly swimming. This can be a bonus point if you are living close to a pool, lake or river. [4]
