Eosinophilic Asthma Symptoms

Chronic Rhinosinusitis

Chronic rhinosinusitis is a condition associated with inflammation of the sinus cavities and nasal passages. It is characterized by nasal congestion and drainage. In addition to asthma, many other risk factors include swimming, a compromised immune system, dental issues, smoking, as well as a quick change in air pressure during scuba diving or air travel, for instance. Many cases of chronic rhinosinusitis can be triggered by infection or allergies as well.[6]

Nasal Polyps

Nasal polyps are characterized by growths resulting from inflammation of the mucous membranes in the nasal passages and sinuses. They may extend to your throat area or nostril’s opening and block the nasal passages, which lead to many issues like loss of smell, headache, and congestion. Nasal polyps are usually associated with other chronic issues. They tend to last for an extended period of time. The growths can vary in size. Small polyps might not cause any symptoms, while bigger ones might block your nasal passages and trigger many symptoms. [7]
