10 Common Symptoms of Gerd

Regurgitation

This is a fairly common symptom of GERD, but it doesn’t occur in all GERD cases. It is particularly common in children who have this disease. When a person experiences acid reflux over a long time, it is possible to experience a feeling of food or bile coming up the throat. You have probably seen a baby throwing up just a short while after eating; it is usually as a result of gastroesophageal reflux. Vomiting does not typically occur in adults, but when you have food coming back up into your mouth after eating, it may be as a result of gastroesophageal reflux disease. This symptom may cause a bitter taste in your mouth, and it may also lead to the development of bad breath.[2]
