Home Remedies for Bladder Infections

Drinking More Fluids

Try to drink more fluids and go to the toilet to urinate as soon as you feel it. This can help flush out all of the bacteria causing the infection in the bladder, thus speeding up recovery. Also, water can help dilute your urine. This alleviates the pain caused by the condition. Urine mainly contains waste products from the body. It may be more painful and irritating to pass dark, concentrated urine in those people with a bladder infection. Diluted urine often has light colors and does not irritate you as much. Try to drink around 8 glasses of fluids per day. Do not consume soda, tea, coffee, and other caffeinated beverages as they only worsen your conditions. [2]
