Siamese cats originated from Thailand and became popular around 200 years ago. They are the foundational breed for the Himalayan, sphynx, and Oriental shorthair cats. Most of them have unique markings, which are the colored areas on the tail, feet, ears, and face. Two varieties feature a chubby body and apple-shaped head, as well as a slender body and large head.
